Serenity Galaxy AM0644-741

This image was created with the help of the ESA/ESO/NASA Photoshop FITS Liberator. Data downloaded from the Hubble archive ACS camera. Data and Filter sets, Image 1 Plane 1. J8MY01MZQ F814W(red). J8MY01N6Q F625W(Green). J8MY05010 F555W(blue). This not an easy one to work on as the final FITS image file is some 350MB. (It is as difficult as the M31 Galaxy). The Hubble ACS Fits image files come as a ...drz file format and have about a 50 pixel gap in the data between the image planes (green and red images above) if you do not fill this in you get a blue / black line in the final image which is not at all easy to remove. So I re-ran the Fits Liberator and airbrushed some dark texture into the gaps on each plane before image processing. Lots of despeckle smoothing and airbrush retouch needed as well after though. Composed using drz Linear FITS images with Photoshop Elements 2. (8 bit) with PC Windows XP.

This fits liberator image is not available for sale.
