Southern Ring Nebula NGC3132

Southern Ring Nebula NGC3132 Produced with the FITS Liberator and data downloaded from the Hubble WFPC2 ESO archive. Data and Filter sets Image 1 Plane 3 U2RC0201T F656 (Red) U2RC0204T F 502 (Blue) U2RC0207T F547 (Green). This is not too easy to set up, and is a combination of log and linear images. I applied "de-speckle and dust" to reduce the background noise hence the "smoother" image effects and some brush work. The FITS files only come as *******t.C0.fits and have a lot of processing "noise" built in and you may wish to remove this at the final stages. Retaining the central and edge gas details is the hard part but produces a good image when finished. Composed using Linear and log FITS images with Photoshop Elements 2 (8 bit) with PC Windows XP
