The Making of The Second Guide Star Catalog
This is a project that attempts to explains the substance, uses and complex methods adopted to produce the GSC-II catalog via a multimedia interactive interface. The content ranges from pretty pictures, through simple graphical descriptions to complex professional articles. It is aimed at a technically sophisticated level though does not require previous knowledge of Astronomy.
The tour is distributed via a CD-ROM media as it is too large to be comfortably viewed over the web with today network speeds.
