This is a preliminary rendering of the HCV Explorer tool. The sky is centred on M101 (top left), and the background image is from the SDSS. The green sources are Multiple Filter Candidate Variables, and the blue sources are Single Filter Candidate Variables. The highlighted source is MatchID: 1726377, a Cepheid in M101. The top right shows the results table from the HCV; the bottom left shows the light curve for the Cepheid (zoomed in from MJD 54090 to 54125) for the filters ACS_F814W (blue) and ACS_F555W (black). The bottom right shows a plot of average magnitude versus the median absolute deviation in the magnitude: green sources are Multiple Filter Candidate Variables, blue sources are Single Filter Candidate Variables and grey sources are the HSC sources all for the filter ACS_F555W, in that particular group and cluster (Group ID = 1053852 and Cluster ID = 3).
