Volunteer Translators

Our network of volunteer translators is making the Hubblecast available in different languages so that more people can benefit from it. If you wish to join the group and contribute to sharing astronomy in more languages, please read the information below and fill in the form.

As a volunteer translator you will receive notifications via a dedicated mailing list whenever new episodes are about to be published. You will be credited for your work and occasionally receive free products from ESA/Hubble. You will be able to work alone or in collaboration with other translators.

As well as translating Hubblecasts, the translators’ network also covers materials from the European Southern Observatory, in particular the ESOcast, which is also produced by our team.

To translate videos, we use the YouTube service which lets people translate the English-language transcripts easily. Full details are available here. Please read the section “Notes for translators of ESA/Hubble videos” carefully.

If you wish to join our network, please fill in the following form. In order to receive free products from ESA/Hubble (and ESO, if you translate ESOcasts), please provide a full address.
