V838 Mon

Here is an image of V838 Mon. The three different views show the expanding light wave as it reflects off of shells of dust around the middle, bright red star. I used data from the Hubble Advanced Camera for Surveys and used the pyraf program to "drizzle" multiple datasets of the same filter together to remove cosmic rays. For the different layers, I used the following filters: F435W for blue, F606W for green, and F814W for red. I used the ASinH stretch for all images.
